The Center for Southeast Louisiana Studies preserves and promotes the history and the cultures of Louisiana's Florida Parishes, southwestern Mississippi, and surrounding areas through scholarly research, lectures, and publishing.


Hours of Operation


The Center will reopen on Monday, June 29, 2020 following the schedule listed below.  Please be advised that strict social distancing guidelines will be enforced.  If you have a research emergency before that time, please email the Center Director, Samuel Hyde, at: shyde@selu.edu.


Summer 2020 Semester Hours 

M-W 8:00 am - 2:00 pm; TH 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Researchers please note that the Library building is currently closed to patrons.  Call 985-549-2151 when you arrive outside the library and someone from the Center staff will admit you.
